Styling battles are the core combat system of Infinity Nikki. Unlike traditional RPGs, you don't fight with weapons 鈥?you fight with fashion! Understanding how styling battles work is essential for progressing through the game.

How Styling Battles Work

Each styling battle has a theme with one or more attributes (e.g., Sweet, Cool, Elegant, Fresh, Sexy). You need to assemble an outfit that scores highest on the required attributes. The total score determines whether you win.

The Five Attributes Explained

  • Sweet 馃挅 鈥?Cute, girly, pastel-colored outfits. Think dresses with ribbons and bows.
  • Cool 馃槑 鈥?Edgy, modern, street fashion. Leather jackets, bold colors.
  • Elegant 馃憫 鈥?Classic, refined, formal wear. Gowns, pearls, sophisticated looks.
  • Fresh 馃尶 鈥?Natural, light, casual outfits. Floral patterns, simple styles.
  • Sexy 馃敟 鈥?Glamorous, bold, confident looks. Evening wear, statement pieces.

Building Your Best Setup

Each outfit has a primary attribute score. But you can mix and match pieces from different outfits. For example, you might use a Sweet dress from one set with Cool shoes from another.

The game automatically selects your highest-scoring pieces for each slot. But you can manually optimize by checking which pieces have the highest score in the battle's target attributes.

Leveling Your Outfits

Outfit level matters a lot. A level 70 outfit will score significantly higher than a level 1 outfit, even if the base stats are similar. Focus on leveling your top outfit for each attribute rather than spreading resources thin.

Attribute Matching Strategy

Pay attention to the theme description. If the NPC uses a "Cool" outfit, matching with Cool is safe. But sometimes battles have secondary attributes that give bonus points if you match them too. Check the battle info screen before starting.
